Marrick Priory

Last week, our children embarked on their first residential experience. We worked together over three days to challenge ourselves, get out of our comfort zones, gain independence and learn more about ourselves.

We worked in three groups around a variety of challenges that pushed us to discuss worries and support one another to achieve their potential. Within the priory children enjoyed socialising and gaining indepence through making their own beds and sandwiches each day.

On our night walk children immersed themselves in the darkness of the countryside, using their senses to tune into the wildlife around us. The nightline helped us listen to others and follow advice clearly. We had to work together to get to the finish line.

Some of the activities we enjoyed:

canoeing

night line

night walk

archery

high ropes and low ropes

abseiling
