Service Pupils

Supporting Our Service Families at Sharow School

At Sharow School, we are proud to champion and support our service families. We recognise the unique challenges that military life can bring, and we are committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels valued, understood, and supported.

We work closely with service families to ensure smooth transitions during postings, offering tailored pastoral care and academic support to help children settle quickly and thrive. Our staff are trained to understand the emotional and social needs that may arise from parental deployment or relocation, and we foster strong communication between home and school to maintain continuity and stability.

Through assemblies, curriculum links, and community events, we celebrate the contributions of our armed forces and promote understanding and respect among all pupils. We also engage with external agencies and local networks to provide additional resources and guidance where needed.

Sharow School is a place where service children are not only supported—they are celebrated.
