Year 3 and 4

Welcome to Year 3 and 4, Kamara class.  We are an amazing team with inquisitive minds; we just always want to find out more!  We love to learn and try every day to flourish in all that we do.  Our inspiration comes from Chris Kamara, a former professional footballer and manager and has been a football analysist at Sky Sports.  This job allowing him to be very much in the limelight.  We have been inspired by his determination and resilience in dealing with the condition, Apraxia. His determination is an inspiration.

We hope you enjoy finding out about our class and how determined we will endevour to be!

Homework:

In Year 3/4 our children are expected to complete the following tasks each week as homework:

  • Read to an adult a minimum of three times a week and have this recorded in their reading record;
  • Practise their weekly spellings;
  • Practise their times tables.
  • Complete KIRF homework sent in homework books
  • Reading plus. At least one test above 80% each week

It is important that all children in Y3/4 know all multiplication tables and their division facts so regular practise of these is encouraged through regular revision as well as tasks TT Rock Stars.

Reading is the cornerstone to all learning and as such is a focus for homework tasks.

There may on occasion be extra homework as appropriate to the learning in school.
