One of the real strengths of our nursery at Sharow is our extensive outdoor provision.
We make full use of our outdoor environment every day, in all seasons. Children have regular access to a rich outdoor space that supports them to explore the natural world, be physically active and develop coordination, take safe risks and build confidence, and collaborate, create, and problem-solve.
Our outdoor areas are thoughtfully designed to extend learning beyond the classroom, offering opportunities for investigation, imaginative play, and hands-on discovery.
We believe that outdoor learning plays a vital role in supporting children’s wellbeing, curiosity, and independence, and is a key part of what makes our nursery experience so special.
