Welcome to a new school year in Oak Class!

Mrs Curzon is our Upper Key Stage 2 teacher and is supported by Mrs Higginson on Mondays and Tuesdays, and Miss Hall on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Our class name reflects the qualities we aim to develop throughout the year. Like the mighty oak tree, we are strong, resilient and continually growing. As the oldest pupils in the school, we take pride in being positive role models, demonstrating responsibility, kindness and a commitment to learning.

This term, we will be establishing routines, strengthening friendships and creating a classroom environment where everyone feels safe, valued and ready to succeed. We have an exciting range of topics planned across the curriculum, providing opportunities to explore new ideas, challenge ourselves and develop our knowledge and skills. We will also be placing a strong emphasis on self-regulation, following our motto: "Regulate to Educate."

We encourage all children to come to school each day with a positive attitude, a willingness to have a go and the confidence to embrace new challenges. We believe that mistakes are an important part of learning, and we celebrate effort, perseverance and progress every step of the way.
