Police Visit

Today, Year 1 and 2 were very lucky to have a visit from PSCO Philip Wright about safety on roads. We listened to how important it is to ‘Be Safe, Be Seen’. Sometimes at this time of year we are wearing dark colours and it makes us harder to see in the lower light levels. It is a good idea to wear light, bright coats or high visibility strips or badges on clothes to make sure we are visible. We learnt about the 4 special words of the Green Cross Code; here were the top tips we thought we’d share:

THINK: Use zebra crossings and do not step out from between cars! Make sensible decisions!

STOP: Not with tiptoes on the edge of the path – at least two footsteps back.

LOOK: Both ways twice and then again in case anything has changed!

LISTEN: Remember that electric cars can be quieter…

We were thrilled to receive some high visibility stickers to attach to ourselves to help us be spotted and stay safe. Thank you CPSO Philip Wright for our visit!
