Iron Man

As part of our English learning, we have been reading the Iron Man by Ted Hughes.  As an introduction to our text, using chalk, we drew his height on the playground.  We then read part of the text and went back out to re-measure our chalk drawings, using the size description from the text.  It was astonishing to realise how tall Ted Hughes depicted him.  We had not drawn one Iron Man that was tall enough!  He is ‘taller than a house.
